the bride wore a white marquis
ette dress with lace insets, designed
with a round neckline, long tight

buds. Anne Moree Jones was
flower girl. She wore a dress of
pink organdy with which she car
ried a bouquet of pink rosebuds.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs

' dress and the groom's; mother, Mrs.

cake and Mrs. Earl T. Jones served

For their wedding trip to San
Francisco, the bride; chose a co
coa brown gabardine suit with
matching accessories and pinned
to her suit was a corsage of or
chids. On their return they will
reside in Salem.

The Woman's Auxiliary of St
Paul Episcopal church will hold its
first fall meeting today at 1:30 at
parish hall. The National conven
tion of the church, which Is to be
held the latter part of this month
in San Francisco, will be discussed.

Young Business.
Groups Meet
The Salore club of the YWCA
held its first fall meeting Mon
day night at the YW. A" covered
dish dinner was served to fifteen
and Miss Lavonne Schuessler,
president, presided at the meet
ing. The club, composed of youn
business women, made plans for
the fall program. Members will
form a bowling team this winter.
Several are planning to attend
the northwest conference in Van
couver, B. C. in the late autumn.
The next meeting will be an out
door dinner at Crestwood Acres,
September 26.
Service club of the YWCA met
Wednesday night. This year the
club will assist with both social
and service activities and speak
ers will be engaged for some
meetings. Mrs. Francis Knapp is
president and the next meeting
will be October 4. Both groups
are open to any young women
in the community. Anyone in
terested is welcome to attend.
They are under the direction of
Miss Joyce Lamoreux. director of
the program for young adults of
the YWCA.
