Grain Market
Session Slow
CHICAGO. July 13-P)-Most
grains were depressed by a steady
dribble of selling orders today, al
though here and there a contract
gained enough to give the market
a mixed appearance at the close.
Lard staged a fair advance in line
with lower hog receipts..
It was a pretty dull market.
Wheat closed 4-34 lower, corn
was 1 cent lower to 1H higher, oats
were 34-l!4 lower, rye was 1 cent
lower to '4 higher, soybeans were
4 lower to 34 higher and lard was
15 to 20 cents a hundred pouncls
higher.
Although it didn't i amount to
much, hedging pressure against
wheat sent the July contract un
der $2.00 at one time. Traders also
were impressed by information
that the local commodity credit
corporation office had purchased
100,000 (T) busheLs of wheat in
Ohio yesterday at prices far under
the Chicago July delivery.
