secretary of the poultry and egg
national board was the ' principal
chick association speaker, and Mr.
Gross insisted that the talk should
be applied to all agricultural
products.
Mr. Huntington told the group
that in 1940 the national egg con
sumption per person was 310. In
1948 there were 388 eggs consum
ed for every person in the United
States.
From the production standpoint
the eggs per hen have increased
from 120 in 1934 to 160 in 1948.
It was assumed that this figure
would gradually increase because
the production in Oregon at the

GOVERNMENT CAMP, July 7
-iip-Eric Stork, 50, proprietor of
the White river resort, was robbed
by three armed men today and
forced to walk eight miles for help.
The bandits entered his resort,
eight miles east of here, early this
morning; took 3100 from his wal
let, and emptied the resort's cskh
register.
Then they added insult to in
jury by tearing the phone from
the wall and draining all the gas
oline from his rax. Stork had to
walk in to Government Camp to
report.
