Grain Market Speculation in Sharp Decline CHICAGO, June l3-VPGrin3 tank in a market featured by 4 conspicuous lack of speculative and Investment demand today. Largest losses came in the last hour, and part of the weakness was blamed upon another Mon day drop in stock prices at New York. Only grain to show any strength during the day was wheat. It got off to a firm start and at one time the July contract had added more than a cent to last week's gains More unwanted rains in Oklahoma and Kansas caused early buying. Wheat ended l3-2? lower, corn was 1T to 2 cents lower, oats were Pi-l'i lower, rye was li 24 lower, soybeans were 21s to 4 cents lower and lard was 8 to 30 cents a hundred pounds lower. In addition to delaying harvest ing, the rains undoubtedly have 'cut wheat, production and quality in the southwest, grain experts said. The area still will produce a big crop, but trade sentiment generally' was agreed that last week's agriculture department crop repprt saw the top estimate of the year on wheat. The bread cereal started to sink when word came in that cash price were not holding. Kansas City dealers were buying wheat on a to-arrlve basis from the new crop to 4 to 7 cents urider Saturday. Spot prices at Kansas City fell l'i to 10 cents. Smaller losses were made at Minneapolis.
