I 1 The Collot collection, she sta ted, is being shown here for the first time outside of New York since its arrival In this country. It is reputed to be from the collec tion of the Due d'Orleans and has been intact from 1619 until the present when it was brought as a unit in November to the U. S. Of the 800 prints which were in the original collection, 18 are being shown here. Several other art mu seums of much greater size than Salem's have attempted to have the collection, but Mrs. Huffman, through connections with the own ers succeeded in being the first to receive it. Club to Hear Speaker Miss Martha Morton, assistant dean of women at Oregon State college, will be the guest speaker at the dinner meeting of the Sa lem Business and Professional Women's club Tuesday night at Nohlgren's at 6:30 o'clock. Mrs. Agnes Booth, county school su perintendent, will introduce the speaker, who is a graduate of Ob erlin college. She took her mas ter's degree at Syracuse univer sity and although a new member of the faculty, has already made many friends among the faculty and students. Bob Wilson, saxophonist, will play a selection by the modern French composer Milhaud and will be accompanied by Mrs. Donald Jessop. Mrs. Claude Jorgenson is arranging the music? Miss Matilda Gilles, principal of Richmond school, will lead the club collect and Mrs; Esther Lit tle, YWCA executive secretary, will lead the patriotic observance. The program will be in charge of the education and vocation com mittee of which Mist Ruth Janes Is chairman. , r Job's Daughters Officer to Visit Mm. Carl Ehlert of Portland, grand guardian of Job's Daugh ters will be here Monday for the meeting of the local bethel. There will be initiation, and a degree will be given for Mrs. Ehlert.
