HOLT RITES HELD
Funeral services were held Fri
day at Corvallis for LeRoy Holt,
62, father of Nelson Holt, of Sa
lem. Interment was in Oaklawn
Memorial park there. Holt was
born in Minnesota, Jan. 22, 1887,
and was employed by the post-
office department for 28 years.
'He is survived also by the widow,
another son and four grandchil

Charged with
Embezzlement
Lois Dorothy Bradford, 21, of
7l ragniand ave, was In Marion
county Jail Saturday charged with
embezzlement and is slated to ap
pear in Marion county district
court Monday.
The complaint was lodged
through the efforts of the district
attorney's office, postal authorities
and the Capital Journal. The
charge involves the theft of $18
from mail containing newspaper
subscription money, District Attor
ney E. O. Stadter, jr., said Satur
