Reports were made on the pro gress of the Camp Fire Girls and the Chickadees. A note of thanks from the Turnidge Boys home for the Christmas gift was read.. Final plans were made for the chicken dinner to beheld by the club on February 18. The program was given by the children. While the immigrant party was camped along the Platte river a band of Indians appeared, stam peding the cattle, and little Nancy Was almost killed by the fleeing animals. Upon arriving in Oregon the Cooper family located at The palles, from there moving to Lebanon in 1868, and four years later moved to Albany where the deceased had since resided. On March 31, 1872, Nancy Coop ir married George W. Burkhart n Albany. Burkhart died Feb. 1, 90S. Mrs. Burkhart joined the Jnited Presbyterian church In 884. Survivors are a daughter, HetUe , Burkhart and a brother, Harry Cooper, both of Albany.
