K. McCann, gen eral chairman. Nearly 200 mem bers represent 41 elementary schools and three high schools. The JRC members at Keizer school have made 730 Christmas tray favors for the Veterans' hos pital at Roseburg, under direction of Mrs. Arthur Weddle. At Bush school, where Mildred Wyatt is in charge, JRC members have made tray favors and boxes filled with home-made cookies for patients at Salem Memorial hos pital. These are to be delivered by children who will sing carols. Parrish junior high school JRC members, under Mrs. Doris Ran som, will deliver Christmas gifts to residents of the Cottage home. At Leslie junior high, with Eleo nor Roberts as teacher, the JRC prepared Christmas gifts to be dis tributed at the Tracy convalescent home. This group also assisted with the bangle pin work for the annual Christmas seal sale. All JRC units in the county have filled gift boxes for children over seas, and provided gilts for the veterans' hospital at Roseburg. In the morning they chose teams and played volleyball. They ate lunch in Leslie cafeteria and then played games and danced in the after noon. Black of Salem. The federation includes the two clubs from Salem and others from Corvallis and Portland, with other groujjs starting to join. Salem's clubs are named the Gate Swing ers for those who are experienced at the art (meets first and third Saturdays), and the Capital Folk sters, for beginners, who meet se cond and fourth Saturdays. The groups get together at the YMCA, with newcomers invited to participate. The Gate Swingers al so have an additional meeting each month, the next of which will be January 6 at Mayflower hall.
