1949 Oldsmobiles will go on public
display Monday in the showrooms

al Motors and general manager of
Oldsmobile.
For 1949, all series of Oldsmo
biles will be "Futuramic" accord
ing to the announcement. The
"Futuramic" Series "76" will in
trduce Fisher's newest body.

power plant - the Oldsmobile
1949 'Rocket" engine.
The Futuramic "IB" series will
consist of six body types. The se
ries "76" will occupy a substan
tially lower price range than the
series "88."
The new "Rocket" power plant
is the same high-compression,
eight cylinder, valve-m-head en
gine which General Motors engi
neers and research experts have
had under process of development
for several years.
