Union Show to Provide Milk For Children Cannery Scandals of 1949, a un ion school milk fund benefit stage show, wUl be presented at Leslie junior high school auditorium January 14. Rehearsals for the 15-act pre sentation are being held at the Salem labor temple each week under the direction of Margaret Shaeffer, William Cartwright and Mary Bourke, all union members. The cast is made up of about 50 cannery union members, their families and members of several other unions. The show will feat ure songs, dances, a women's chor us, a pantomime: and an act feat uring Indian sons and dances by a group of students from Che m"'a Indian school. Tickets are to go on sale De cember 27 at the labor temple and possibly in a few downtown busi ness houses. Music for the per formance and rehearsals is being furnished by Glenn Williams' Sa lem band, sponsored by the mu sicians' union. Proceeds from the one-night performance, which will begin at 8 p.m., are to be distributed among various schools In the Willamette valley for their noon lunch milk programs, union officials said.
