Grain Prices
Close Lower
CHICAGO,; Dec. 15 -(IP)- With
losses in corn running to nearly
f cents all grains closed lower
n the board of trade today. Soy
beans ended mixed, the Decem
ber contract showing a gain, while
lard had small declines.
Trading sentiment was influ
enced largely by a charge that
three European nations had mis
used economic cooperation ad
ministration funds. Some traders
felt this might cause the ECA to
have some difficulty in getting
supplemental appropriations from
congress.
Wheat closed 4-Ti lower, corn
was lower, oats were
lower, rye was to 1 cent lower,
soybeans were 2 cents lower to
24 higher, and lard was S to 15
cents a hundred pounds lower.
