Dr. Robert Gregg, dean of the Willamette college of liberal arts, will address the members and their guests on the topic, "China in Tur motl." Dr. Gregg holds degrees from Oberlin. the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins. He was head of the history depart ment at the Carnegie Institute of Technology for several years, he has traveled in Europe, the near East,, the Caribbean and Mexico. He is an authority on Mexican- American relations and has spoken frequently on international affairs. 'n-: r Kl Miss Currey, Is Visitor An Interesting visitor in town is Miss Carol Currey, who is spending a 60-day leave from her duties with the office, of the Am erican consulate general at Mun ich. Germany. She is spending the Thanksgiving and Christmas hol idays with her father Fred Cur rey and her sister, Mrs. Thomas Wood. , Miss Currey has been in Munich for the past two and a half years, having flown there when the first military government was set up. She spent two years in Hawaii. 12 years in China and Japan and la ter spent two years working for the state here. She then went to Washington, D. C, where she was with the department of state dur- 1 ing the war years. Miss Currey came from Ger many on the S. S. America and following her stay here, will spend a week of intensive work in Wash ington, D. C, before returning to Munich.
