Orators Win in Seattle Contest Willamette university orators returned Saturday from Seattle, where they took three first places and two third positions in the Western Speech association tour nament Friday. In the senior men's debate di vision the team of Tom Bartlett and Robert Sayre tied for. num ber one spot with University of Southern California. Each team had seven wins and one loss. It was a repeat performance for Willamette, which placed first last year. The Bearcat team of Elliot Mot schenbacher and Jack Gunn ac counted for the second first place in the junior men's debate con test. The local team tied with Pacific university of Forest Grove with seven wins and a single loss. Sayre brought home another top award by sweeping the senior men's impromptu speaking division. Taking third spots were the Willamette women's senior de bate team of Joan Morgan and ! Betty Fergeson, and Tom Bart- lett, who placed in the senior men's after dinner speaking.
