Speaking of
RECORDS
Little children love to hear on
records familiar songs and stories.
Their favorite Nursery Rhymes
are presented in such jolly fash
ions, which only heighten their
every day living experiences.
One of the outstanding record
ings for tots, from 2 to 4 years is
Decca's Genie, the Magic Record
narrated by Peter Land Hayes. It
is packed with enthusiasm and
motivates attention by moving
from one meaningful ' incident o
another. Youngsters are asked by
the record to participate in the
musical games, which is a grand
way to promote good listening
habits.
And Christmas brings Twas the
Night Before Christmas narrated
by Milton Cross on RCA Victor
Records. The Jingle Bell Fantasy
on the other side has much jingle
and snap. Christmas could also
bring, in Susie's stocking, that
adorable story. The Gingerbread
Man told by Decca's Frank Luther
with all the music and sound ef
fects. Next week the 4 to 6 year old
recordings 'will be high-lighted.
Well slip in a wee bit about the
new sensational story-plays, The
Three Bears and The Three Little
Pigs, which include props, figures,
and a 12-in. non-breakable record.
