a little higher and some a little
lower, and the only grain to show
a consistent trend was oats. They
ended higher.
During early dealings, the mar
ket pushed, up In a brisk trade.
December wheat hit a sew high
since April 11 while July and Sep
tember contracts made peaks since
trading in these deliveries started.
Late selling in large part repre
sented week-end profit-taking.
Wheat closed i lower to high
er; corn was 44 lower to high
er, oats were 4-4 higher, rye was
1 to IVi lower, soybeans were 1
cent lower to 14 higher, and lard
was 30 cents lower to 63 cents a
hundred pounds higher. A wide
spread existed at the close in No
vember lard, ln which dealings
ended today.

Rising Track
NEW YORK, Nov. 20 -(Py- The
stock market got back on a rising
track this week for the first time
in a month.
Only once during the week was
the upward trend interrupted. The
market value of all shares listed
on the stock exchange increased
by more than $1,000,000,000 al
though this was only a. small part
of 'the heavy losses piled up dur
ing the post-election selling wave.
Progress in today's short session
was at the same modest rate which
prevailed most of the week.
Volume dropped to only 340,000
shares, even less than last Satur
day's meager 380,000.
The Associated Press average of
60 stocks advanced Jl of one point
to 85.1, the highest since Nov. 8
Of the 718 Issues which appeared
on the ticker tape, 273 advanced
while 208 declined. ,
