Corn Futures
Prices Decline
CHICAGO, Oct. StHJPhContln
ued heavy marketing of corn from
the country softened the futures
price around a cent a bushel to
day. Mixed influences on other
board of trade commodities, how
ever, gavt them an irregular zone.
Wheat receded early and stay
ed there most of the day, although
some recovery was made near the
close. Reports of some rain in tho
wheat belt caused losses of as
much as a cent at times.
At the close wheat was Vx cent
lower to- Va higher, corn to one
cent down, oats unchanged to ft
lower, rye M to 1ft higher, soy
beano one to two cento up, and
lard 4 five to 27 cento hundred
pounds down.
Shipping sales of corn amount
ed to 490,000 bushels, including
some going to private exporters.
