Imogene Sproed,-daughter .of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Sproed, who ex
changed wedding vows with Wal
lace Gene Scott, soif of Mrs. Dick
Colvin of Spokane,' wash, at a
ceremony in the Seventh Day
Adventist church at 8 -o'clock.
Elder A. J. Gordon - performed
the ceremony, and organist was
Don Worden, with Mrs. E. J. Kort?
xeborne as soloist.
The bride who was given In,
marriage, by her father, wore a
white satin gown . with? long
sleeves, and -a yoke of marquisette.
Her veil of tulle, was, edged with.
lace and caught by a tiara of
bouvardia. ' Her honor maid was
Miss Patricia Sproed, her sister,
who wore -a pale green taffeta
gown and a halo or orchid asters.
- Miss Arleta .. Teal and Miss
Gladys were bridesmaids, wear
ing Identical gowns of orchid taf
feta, with, halos of white asters.
' Dale Marsh was best man, and
Louie Baker land Norman McDon
ald were ushers. They all carried
hearts of white asters.
The ceremony took place be
fore a large flower heart of asters,
and the aisles were closed with
white satin ribbon by the Misses
Doris Larsen, Mary Alice and
Vera Lou Wolcott and Opal Ver
steeg. Mrs. Sproed chose a gown of
qua crepe for her daughter's
nuptials, and wore a corsage of
gardenia and pink rosebuds.
A reception was held immedi
ately after the ceremony, at the
Woman's club house. Assisting
were Mrs. Pete Sproed, Mrs. Tom
Bowden and Mrs. M. T. Madsen.
The bride wore a suit of for
est green with cocoa brown acces
sories and an orchid corsage, for
her wedding trip to the Oregon
beaches. The couple will live at
Walla Walla, Wash.
Mr. 7 and Mrs. James Rowe
(Nancy Stricklin) are guests of
Mr. and Mrs. James Bennison at
their Portland home this weekend.

for several days this week at her
Royal Court apartment were Mr.
and Mr. Hal F. Wiggins of San
Francisco, former Salem residents.
They have been touring In Wash
ington and Oregon. Mr. Wiggins
is now legal counselor for the state
of California - with headquarters
in the bay city.

Catherine Hockstrasser, daughter
of Mr.- and Mrs. C. L. Hochstras
ser of Boise, and Robert L. Lam
kin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mignon
O. Lamkin of Salem, took place
on August 1 at , the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
in Boise. Bishop Keith Ricks per
formed the 2:30 o'clock nuptials.
Miss Lerrice ' Brunsman sang and
Miss Iris Schlerf played the wed
dding music
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore her" sister's
wedding gown of white silk net
with lace yoke and a three-quarter-length
veil held in place
with a tiara of seed pearls. She
carried a bouquet of American
Beauty roses and . white glad
ioluses. Mrs. Raymond Walters was her
sister's honor matron and her
gown was of blue net and lace.
Her bouquet was of pink and
yellow roses and white gladio
luses. Fred E. Gorin of Bakers
field, Calif, was best man and
ushers were Bill Hochstrasser and
David Oliver of Corvallis. !
Mrs. Hochstrasser wore a pas
tel blue gown with navy acces
sories for her daughter's wed
ding and Mrs. Larakin's gown
was of navy blue with white
accessories. Their corsages were
of white roses.
A reception was held in the
church parlors after the cere
mony. The newlyweds spent their
honeymoon along the Oregon
coast and Crater lake. They are
now at home in Salem at 1855
N. Winter street.

Kelly, daughter of Mrs. Monica
Wesolowski, to Frank W. Schra
der of Lebanon, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert J. Schrader of Ray
mond, Wash., formerly of Leba
non, which took place on July 31
at the home of Judge Harry
Wyatt In Xebanon.
After a wedding trip down "the
southern coast of Oregon and to
the lakes the couple returned to
Salem and are now temporarily
at home at 923 South High street

served in the navy. Miss Gard

cantile Co. .

Beverly Young, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Gleason Young, was hon
ored on her sixth birthday on
Thursday when her mother en
tertained at a party t their
home. Assisting the hostess at the
refreshment hour were Mrs. E.

Blake. Games were in play with
the Misses Ellaree Morton, Dottie
Caspeli and Margaret Ellis assist

to their friends after August 25.
