ALDRICH TRIAL CONTINUED
Marion county district court
trial in the case of Frederick C.
Aldrich of Portland, charged with
driving while intoxicated, opened
I Tuesday and was continued until
Thursday at 9:30 a.m.' District
Judge Joseph Felton, who presid
I ed at the trial Tuesday, was called
! by the district attorney as a wit
: ness and so disqualified himself.
; Neither a judge nor a place for
; continuance of the trial Thursday
has been arranged for yet. Judge
Felton said Aldrich was arrested
by state police April 22 just south
of Salem on highway 99E.

M. E. Moore, 3310 Silverton rd.,
complained to city police Tuesday
that a motorist drove across his
lawn Monday night, damaging the
turf and several flower beds. The
errant car, he said, was 1931
Ford roadster.

Tuesday from nine Woodburn re
sidents that a sawmill there is
