Auxiliary Plans
To Sell Poppies
Veterans in the two Oregon hos
pitals have made more than 400.
000 poppies this spring to be sold
on Poppy days May 28 and 2t. For
making these red crepe paper pop
pies the veteran receives two cents
apiece. For many this is the only
possibility of earning money dur
ing the year. The remainder of
the proceeds of the sale is equally
divided for veteran rehabilitation
work and for veteran child wel
fare work.
Capital unit auxiliary is making
plans for the sale of 8,000 of these
poppies. Mrs. Walter L. Spaulding,
chairman, has announced the fol
lowing committee: Vice-chairman,
