It seems, she liked Salem people, and said she wanted to.be asked back. She would have liked to atgrn autographs, but upon hearing so many coughs (and there were many) she could Dot take the chance of getting a cold. Important fUa . . . Watch a man sign ing his name, and yu a man who's king lor a brief moment. Now a woman takes the pen and simply writes her name --but not a man! He tries the pen on an edge of the paper, places it carefully in his hand, adjusts his arm to the correct position, flour ishes a couple el circles in mid-air and then dashes oil the signature suddenlike. And what results? something no one can read anyway. Simple earplananon . . . Staying the night at the Astoria hotel last Saturday we found the answer to, what Is a "semi-prlvatr bath?" It seems it is a room with partition only part way up. at least that was what our's was. Chummy, to say the least. Easy Way Out . . . We always, have petticoat trouble, even with our long skirts, why not sew on a little lace and let'er show like the" other young girls skirts do ... Two and two ... I wonder if the case of the dunked boatsman who asked the pa per not to reveal his name because 11 his wife found out she'd "be awful sore," isn't like that of the 'teen arger who thinks his mo ther doesn't know he smokes. The wife might, just possibly auess mat he fell into the wa ter when she found his clothes soaked with water --but then, maybe she isn't curious. . . .
