Miss Fromm
A Bride
The First Baptist church was
the scene of the wedding of Miss
Arlene DeAtta Fromm, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fromm,
and Philip Judson, son of Mr. and
Mrs, Lewis Judson, Saturday
night at 8 o'clock. The Rev. Lloyd
T. Anderson performed the cere
mony before a setting of acacia,
forsythia and blue iris. Lighting
the tapers at the altar and down
the aisle were Miss Dawna Welty
and Miss Donna Holman, who
wore pink dresses. Mrs. Don Jud
son was the soloist and William
Fawk the organist.
Mr. Fromm gave his daughter
in marriage. Her bridal gown was
of white satin fashioned with long,
pointed sleeves, gathering at the
waistline and a full skirt ending
in a train. From a crown of seed
pearls cascaded her lace edged
three-quarter length veil. She
carried a white Bible marked with
pink baby orchids.
The dresses of the attendants
carried out the yellow and blue
color scheme. Miss Rena Skaggs,
as maid of honor, wore a mist
blue taffeta gown with high neck
line and lull skirt and carried daf
fodils. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Mathias Crouser, sister of the
groom, and Miss Frances Mattson,
who wore identical frocks of yel
low taffeta with bustle backs and
carried bouquets of blue iris. Di
ana Judson was flower girl and
she wore a blue dress and yellow
flowers.
Lewis "Judson, Jr., was his
brother's best man and ushers in
cluded Don Judson, Robert Garri
son, Jack Stiles and Mathias
Crouser.
Mrs. Fromm chose a pussy
willow grey crepe gown for her
daughter's wedding and Mrs. Jud
son wore a blue dress. Their cor-.
sages were yellow roses.
A wedding reception was held
in the church parlors. Miss Slyvia
Mattson cut her niece's cake and
Mrs. Lewis Judson, jr., presided
at the coffee urn. Assisting were
Miss Mary Elizabeth Reir.hart,
Mrs. John Strem, Mrs. Don Pan
ek and Mrs. Gabriel Martinez.
Mrs. Henry Mattson was in charge
of the reception. Miss Pat Kep-
pinger passed the guest book and
in charge of the gifts were Mrs. ,
William Massey, Miss Caroline
Helton and Miss Alma Bostron.

Sheets played numbers on his
vibraharp.
Mr. Judson and his bride have i
gone north to Vicotria, B. C, on
their wedding trip and for travel
ing the bride wore a black gab
ardine suit fashioned with a pep
lum, a gold straw hat and black
accessories. Pinned to her were
baby orchids. The couple will live
in Salem.

play.

Spinsters to
Give Tea
Social highlight of the Easter
weekend will be the annual sil
ver tea for which the Spinsters
will be hostesses at the Fairmount
Hill home of Mrs. Donald A.
Young next Saturday. Guests are
asked to call between 2:30 and 5
o'clock. Proceeds from the affair
will be given to the Salem Me
morial auditorium association for
the proposed civic auditorium.
In the receiving line will be

McKay, president, Mrs. Young,

Chorus Sings
Mrs. Maurice Butler, soprano,
and Ivan Marble, basso, will be
soloists tonight when the PoUt
county choral society presents the
Dubois cantata. The Seven Last
Words of Christ." The program
will be given at Knight Memorial
church at 7:43 p.m., is free and the
public is invited to attend.
Ronald Craven directs the choral
group and Mrs. Craven is accompanist.

St. Paul's Episcopal church will
meet in the parish house Tuesday
afternoon for a one o'clock salad
luncheon. Mrs. Arthur D. Hay
heads the hostess committee with
