Aumsville and Sublimity high schools wiU tangle on tho Willam
ette university floor at 8:30 tonight to decide the Marion county "B"
basketball championship. The two clubs earned their way into the
tourney finals by defeating Cbemawa and Gcrvais, respectively, in
action on the wu court last night.
Aumsville, leading only 26-21
early in tho second half, pulled
away strongly from then on to
register a 81-29 triumph over
Chemawa's Indians in last night's
first game. A 21-point performance
by Forward Albus paced the Sub
limity outfit to a 33-33 victory over
Gervais in the nightcap.
Chemawa and Gervais clash at
7:30 tonight in a battle for third
place. All-star teams will also be
announced tonight.

Sikes succeeds George Sauer

Ken Gibson, Woodburn forward
who earlier this week had top

scoring record, added 18 more

Baroudi, New York light heavy
weight, was removed to a hos
pital for emergency treatment to
night after being knocked out by
Ezzard Charles in the tenth and
last round of their Chicago sta
dium battle. Tho 20-year-old
Baroudi was carried unconscious
from the ring on a stretcher and
43 minutes later was taken to
tho hospital.
