tickets on sale at Miller's depart
jnent store or at the door.
Heading the list of characters
It Peter Standish, portrayed by
Bobert Scott, the young man of
the twentieth century wheee love
for the glorious days of Queen
Anne is requited when he is al
lowed to chance places with his
ancestor. Confused members of
the eighteenth century family are
played by Janie Mathers, Marion
Sparks, Barbara Burrier and
Archie Schultz.
Completing the cast are Elea
nor a Loveless, John Kooy, Joe
rower, Harriet Ness, Gloria Nan
die. Harry Ryan. Margaret Guice.
Addrse Lane, Lloyd Hanson and
Carl Ritchie.
The students have tried to make
every" item of the play as authen
tic as possible, importing cos
tumes from Seattle for the pro
duction. Carl Ritchie designed and
executed the stage scenery.
Music will be provided by a
quartet from Willamette's music
school composed of Ceraldin
Kchmoker. Catherine Schisaler,
Betty Kuhlmann and Wallace
BJorke.
Lou Hartke arranged for the
costumes, and dermis Allen con
. Carted the musicians. Harriet Ness
I doubled ss program designer and
as publicity manager. Assistant
1 publiciats were Jean Carico and
; Virginia Weeks.
! The aim of all productions giv
en by the university is to train
students by actually completing
sets, canting, publicity, and musi
cal performance to prepare them
to enter the world of business in
their chosen profession.
Valentine Party
For Y-Teen's
A Valentine party is to be given
by the Junior High T-Teen of
the Salem YWCA Saturday night
at the Oregon Institute ot Dance
at 7:30 o clock. Plana for the event
have been worked out by a joint
committee representing groups
from Leslie snd Parrish Junior
high schools. Miss Lee Zahler
end Mrs. Bert Osburn are ad
visers for the two groups.

the evening with buffet supper

will be used in decors ting with
pink and red carnations forming
the centerpiece on the buffet
table.

Record Program
On Sunday
The public Is invited to hear
"Oklahoma" and "Song of Nor
way." popular Broadway musical
productions. In the first of a ser
ies of recorded concerts from 1
to 4 p m. Sunday at the YWCA,
76g State street. Mrs. Bruce
Spaulding is in charge of the
program, Mrs. Alfred Schramm,
chairman of the YWCA young
adult committee, announced.
The young adult committee,
sponsor of the concerts. Initiat
ed this project to provide a need
ed recreational outlet and to pro
mote music consciousness la the
community. Mrs. Schramm said.
The concerts will give Salem
residents sn opportunity to hear
music from private as well as
publie library record collections
and to share their music libraries,
tastes and opinions with others.
If public interest is indicated,
special request concerts may be
come part of the program and
diacuaeton groups formed, but at
first the Sunday afternoon con
certs will be quite informal, the
chairman explained. There is no
admission charge.
