Aumsville Couple Revisit Old Home AUMSVILLE Mr. and Mrs. D. Arthur Lowe of Los Angeles, ac companied by bis parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Mountain drove to Yak ima, Wash, for the Christmas hol idays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lowe. En route to Yakima, they vis ited Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Mountain, Donald and Maralyn Mountain and Mrs. Alice Lowe and Diana Lowe, all of Portland. In Yaki ma a niece of Mountain, Mrs. Sa brah Vedas held open house Christmas night for the visitors and for all the Mountain relatives in Yakima. The hostess chose a most unique and charming man ner of serving refreshments. All of the men were seated at one ta ble so that they could discuss poli tics or a reducing diet for income taxes or what had they, while all of the women were seated at an other table where they spent a jolly hour discussing home prob lems and er just reducing diet or what had they. Before turning homeward Mr. and Mrs. Lowe and Mr. and Mrs. Mountain drove to Richland, near the city of the atomic bomb, where Mountain served several years as principal of schools 30 years ago. Federal housing for atomic bomb employes covered the en tire part of the country the Moun tain family remembered, and they were unable to locate but a few old landmarks. Their own resi dence had been replaced by fed eral buildings. The cemetery in which Mr. and Mrs. Mountains' son, Kenneth Mountain, was buried 30 years ago, was preserved ' intact and is now located in the center of the city. It Is now a great tract of green lawn with small headstones marking the graves. Larger head stones appear to have been banned for convenience in keeping the cemetery beautiful. The head stone at the Mountain grave was so worn that only the last syllable of the name, t-a-i-n was discernible. A human being transferred to conditions similar to those found on the surface of the planet Jupi ter would be simultaneously fro zen, asphyxiated, poisoned and pressed to death by his own weight and the weight of the atmosphere which is about a million times the weight of the atmosphere on the earth.
