Christmas program will' be pre
sented at Mission Bottom school
at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The teach
er, Mrs. Lois Sauer, will be in
charge.
Cloverdale Annual Christmas
school program will be given at
8 , pjn. Monday night at the
schoolhouse. School will close
Wednesday and resume January 5.
Gervais The city council
named .Rex Cutsforth and Allen
Dean as new members to replace
Leroy Gardner and Joseph Born,
who moved away and had to re
sign. .

field Laws of Rogue River are
visiting for the holidays with their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Enos Thornton.

igh school, has charge of the pro
gram. Mill City Rev. Lloyd Whitford,
pastor of the Christian church, re
signed last Sunday. He - has ac
cepted a pastorate at Burns, Ore.,

Dr. Aaron Wolfe
, MILL CITY Dr. Aaron Wolfe,
former pastor of the Mill City
Presbyterian church, died at Port
land last week. He had been ill
lor some time.
Anton Daniel
GERVAIS Funeral services
were held Saturday at Sacred
Heart church for Anton Daniel,
70, who died Wednesday at Wood
burn hospital.
' Born Nov. 13, 1877, in Austria,
he came to the United States in
1902 and had lived in this vicini
ty ever since. His wife, Anna,
died in April, 1946.
- Survivors are four daughters,
Anna Stuart, Katharine Churchill,
Marie DeJardin,. Theresa Nelson,
end two sons, Joseph and Martin;
11 grandchildren and three great
grandchildren. Rosary was recited at the home
Friday night, burial in Sacred
Heart cemetery, Gervais.
