hospital where he was taken fol
lowing the accident Wednesday in
which his mother and brother lost
their lives. Jack sustained a frac
tured skull.

safely by plane in Balboa, Panama
Canal Zone, according to a wire
received by Mrs. Agnes Booth,

is visiting her daughter's family,

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Feilen, with
their daughter Betty, have left
for Los Angeles to visit their son
Arthur, who is in the veterans
hospital following his return from
Japan. Young Feilen had been
serving as electronics technician
with the army air forces following
six years' duty in he navy.

its doors in a new location, 419
Ferry st, Monday morning, own
er P. D. Quisenberry announced
yesterday. Dominating the store
in space and emphasis will be the
modern prescription department
which has been operating at the
Market drug store since the fire.
All new fixtures have been in
stalled in the new location, and
materials are entirely new, ac
cording to Quisenberry. Practic
ally all of the prescription files
were saved, with the exception of
the oldest and a few of the new

service to its prewar status, three
times daily as well as emergency.
The store, established in the
Guardian building in 1919, will
retain its special lines in cosmet
ics and other products and its
camera department Due to the

representatives of the arnr and
air forces recruiting service for
the area, Lt Col. Howard Hellie
sen and Capt William H. Seegle
of Portland, here Thursday to
plan a unified program to pro
mote higher standards in selec
tion of men for recruitment in this
area.
The junior chambers are na
tionally endorsing the army and
air forces recruiting program.

Don R. Judson.
