Spady exchanged their marriage vows.; The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Burk and was given in marriage by her father. The benedict is the sod of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Spady pf Dallas. 1 j At 8 o'clock the Rev. Wilmer Brown, assisted by the Rev. El mer of Dallas, performed the ce remony. Miss Helen Tims of Port land was the soloist and William Fawk was the organist Lighting the tapers before the bridal party entered were Miss Clafidine Bark- nuix ana Mrs. uri bum, woo wore aqua and rose taffeta dresses fashioned with bustles. They wore matching mitts and flower headdresses. Of white slipper satin was the bridal gown which was enhanced with Carrick Marcross heirloom lace, which had been Imported from Ireland. The lace adorned the yoke on the fitted bodice and formed a panel in front on the full skirt, which ended in a train. The long sleeves were made with a medallion lace insertion. The sweetheart neckline was outlined in seed pearls and satin buttons extended from the neckline to the bustle in back. Her train length tulle veil was bordered in lace and fell from a Mary Stuart head dress of lace and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white rose buds and bouvardia centered with a white orchid. The bridesmaids all wore iden tical frocks of taffeta fashioned with drop shoulderlines edged with berthas, full skirts and bustles. Their Mary Stuart hats with streamers were of taffeta to match their dresses and they wore long mitts. The girls carried fan shaped bouquets of white chry santhemums centered with clus ters of roses and bouvardia. Mrs. William E. Burks, jr, of Portland, the honor matron -for her sister-in-law, -wore mist pink taffeta, and bridesmaids were Miss Betty Sedar and Miss Jacqueline Wren, who wore deep aqua taffeta, and Miss Patricia Tiller and Miss Marilyn Bauman of Portland, whose frocks were of dusty rose. Shirley Stokes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stokes, was flower girl and wore a deep blue taffeta dress fashioned similar to the bridesmaids. She wore a match ing bonnet and mitts. Greet Guests at Reception Melvin Spady of Dallas was his brother's best man and ushers were William E. " Burks, jr of Portland, Jesse Payne, Dallas, El mer Able, Robert Price and Wen dell Currie. ! For her daughter's nuptials, Mrs. Burks chose a wine crepe gown trimmed with matching beading, black hat with feather trim and black accessories. Mrs. Spady attended her son's marri age in a two piece black ensemble with black and gray hat and ac cessories. Their corsages were of orchids. The newlyweds greeted their guests at a reception in the church parlors. Mrs. Ida Wrenn of Port land cut -the cake and Mrs. , Ed win Miner presided at the coffee urn. At the punch bowl were Miss Doris Soderquist and Miss Hilda Maurer. Miss Eloise Bowmann and Mrs. Wallace Pfeifer were in charge of the gifts and Mrs. Earl Groh passed the guest book. As sisting were Misses Joan Gore, Alyce Allison and Shirley Re- millard.
