BREAKS BACK IN FALL
Salem first aid men Thursday
afternoon took Charles Hamilton,
20 Williams ave to the Salem
General hospital with a broken
back after he had fallen with a
scaffold while working on a con
struction job in the 600 block of
Norjh Liberty street. According to
aid men reports, part of the scaf
. fold, collapsed, and. Hamilton fell
40 feet. He was pushing a cement
cart at the time of the accident.
The hospital reported his condition
as "fair" last night.

tivated 635th organized reserve
composite group in Salem, Gen.
Mark W. Clark, Sixth army com

the Presidio of San Francisco. The
unit's headquarters address is 2750
State st. Colonel Morgan is a
member of the ordnance reserve.

in Parma Idaho earlier this week,
had been a resident of Mariori,
