N S-15-22-29-D 6 Judd Talks to TO Law Class The recording and filing of le gal pleadings and other operations of a county clerk's office were explained Friday in a lecture by Marion County Clerk Harlan Judd before a Joint meeting of code pleading and practice court clas ses of the college of law at Wil lamette university. Clerk Judd used an original file of one recent suit which had gone to the state supreme court to trace each step in the proceedings until final order was made and the com plete case entered in judgment roll. Judd also showed sample-re cords from Marion county hies to demonstrate the evolution from pen and ink records to typed re cords, the currently used photo stats and the microfilm records planned for local use when equip ment is available here. Revee Pepin and Reva Jones got honorable mention, Jim's winning poster was a pic ture of Werner Janssen who will conduct the Portland symphony 0.0 0 O DO Vrooman Rites Slated Monday Funeral services for William Vrooman, 74, moulder and steel fabricator in Salem fori many years, will be held at the Clougb- Barrick chapel Monday at 3 pm. the Rev. Maxine Roberts of Port land officiating, with interment in the City View cemetery. Vrooman died at a local hospi tal Thursday after an illness of one week. He had lived at 3220 State st for many years. He was born at Bloomington, 111., and came to Salem in 1909. His first wife, to whom he was wed in Illinois in 1901, died here in 1935. He mar ried the former Sarah Keys of Salem in 1943 and she survives him Vrooman worked for the' Salem Iron works for a number of years before going into business for him self. He was noted throughout the northwest fir his work as a molder of brass and iron.
