Devers. at torney for the state highway com mission, had authorized a speed of motor vehicles on the Oregon beaches in excess of 25 miles an hour, were denied by Devers here Thursday. Devers said the state law pro vides for a maximum speed of 25 miles an hour on the Oregon beaches which can be reduced by the state highway commission under certain conditions. The attorney said the highway commission has made no change in the maximum speed fixed by the legislature up this time.
