Chamber of Commerce will open
next Monday noon when the local
chamber meet jointly with the

ASH AWAITS GRAND JURY
William L. Ash, Portland,
awaits Marion county grand jury
action while being held in the
county jail in lietiv of $1,000 bail
charged with obtaining money un
der false pretenses. Ash, charged
with the passing of five fictitious
checks in Salem, waived prelim
inary examination when he ap
