Three hundred dollars was set

Joseph Lax
MT. ANGEL Joseph Lux, 75,
of this city, died Wednesday at
a Portland hospital after a short
illness.
He was born in Germany on
May 14, 1872, and came to the U.
S. at the age of eight years to set
tie in Iowa with his parents. He
was later married to Martha Hoff-
richter and the couple have resid
ed here for the past 26 years.
Survivors are the widow; two
brothers, Louis, of Valley Junc
tion. Iowa, and George of Rich
mond. Va.. and two nieces, Mrs.
Ray Ebner, Mt Angel, and Mrs,
Ottalie Daniels, of California.
Funeral services will be held at
St. Mary's church, Mt. Angel, Fri
day at 8:15 a.m. with interment
in the Calvary cemetery. Rosary
is to be read Thursday at 8 p.m.
at the Unger funeral home.
