McNARY ESTATE CLOSED

Marion county clerk Friday clos
ing the estate and releasing the
administratrix of the estate of the
late Senator Charles L. McNary.

LESLIE CONVERTS TO OIL
An 8,000-gallon oil tank in
stallation was completed at Les
lie Junior high school Saturday
by Judson's, Salem contractors
for oil burner installation and
Lloyd M. Hill, Roseburg, excava
tion contractors. The completion
of oil burner installation, replac
ing the wood burners formerly
used by the school, is expected
by the beginning of school in Sep
tember, according to the contrac
tor. Burners are expected to be
hung this week.

Warner Beecher, Bremerton,
Wash., was fined $100 and $4.50
costs and received a 30-day sus
pended sentence upon payment of
the fine and costs in Woodbuni
justice court Saturday on a charge
of driving while intoxicated, court
records show. Beecher was ar
rested . Friday night by state
police.

ty fair, Christenson notified fair
officials Saturday. Christenson
