hended for an Insanity examina
tion. Scheduled to attend the
meeting are Circuit Judges E. M.
Tajte and George Duncan, Sheriff
Denver Young. Salem Chief of Po
lice Frank Minto and the county
court members.

DIMES STILL BEING USED
Though the public has been ad
vised that dimes should not be
inserted - in parking meters, the
amount of dimes collected during
the past week, ending June 27,
totaled $11.20. This is largest
total amount of dimes to date,
even though dimes give the same
parking time as a penny. Total
amount collected last week, ac
cording to the city treasurer's of
fice, was $1,912.50, with $685 in
pennies, and $1,216.30 in nickels.

LAMKIN ON COMMISSION'

Earl Snell to the chairmanship of
the Marion county public welfare
commission for a four-year term

Judge Grant Murphy was in

as a "Just-marncd procession,"
three men were arrested In the
300 block of Center street Mon
day night on a charge of excessive
speed through an intersection. The
three -men, each driving his own
car, were Victor A. Matthews,
route 7, Salem, in the "just mar
ried" cfar: Norman W. Danford.
Yakima. Wash., and Walter S.
Carbough, 605 Spruce ft., police
reported. Each posted $5 bail
in municipal court later.

A motor scooter, valued at $135,

ed it mining. Two local boys, 16
years of age, were arrested while
