Gentemann and Bell Cattle Win Top Ribbons Polk Jersey Show f , By UIHe 1 Madsen 1 Tarm Editor. The Statesmen INDEPENDENCE. Juo 2 Three "Ton -of -Gold" cow shown AytM. N. Tibbie today pt the annual Polk County Jersey Cattle cluh show had earned 11 gold medal,, eight silver and one Medal rr MfHf certificate. One. Remus Lad June, is the only cow in the world to hold x consecutive gold ihedal certificates. ; ; The Ton-of-Gold class, in which six cows were oh display, war one of the outstanding fea tures of the Polk county show, in which 73 head of cattle were judged by John Gale of Canby. .. j i Of the four grand champion ribbons, three went to George A, Gentemann, who owned grand . champion female of the show, 4-year-old Come Beer Lena, which had placed first in her class over Jerry Lauderback's Bajsic Favor Rosemary, winner of senior and grand champion in the Junior di- heifer calf. Wonder Luck Cora, won the junior female champ ionship, -and 1 41a Corona tor As sault won for Gentemann the ju nior champion bull ribbon. B. C. Bell of Rickreall won senior and grand champion on his bun. Lir lac Sir Dustin Chief, which took too honors in the two-year class. Conrad, Hammon took the junior championship in the Junior divi sion on Standard Moonbeam Star, a yearling heifer.
