Beavers, Oaks In PCL Tilts Portlands Rained Out Five Straight By the Associated Preas Rained' out of their first five straight games with the Seattle Rainiers, the Portland ' Beavers are this week scheduled to play the Oakland Oaks in, a seven game stand at Portland, start ing Tuesday night. The Oaks, six weeks ago in the Coast league cellar are now in a first place tie for the lead with San Francisco, a game ahead of Los Angeles. Portland is in fourth place. Midget Racing Opener Called Friday night's scheduled midget auto racing Inaugural at the new Myrtle Bowl north of town has been called off because of ultra muddy conditions at the new plant. Racing Maestro Jimmie Ryan announced yesterday. The weekend rainstorms left the bowl in such condition that it will be impossible to continue work on it until later this week. Ryan will present regularly weekly pro grams featuring the midgets this summer.
