DRIVER PLEADS INNOCENT
Henry Jerry Lehr, of Silverton,
driver of a truck involved in a
collision with another truck at
about 9:15 o'clock Saturday night
1 miles north of Woodburn on
highway 99E, pleaded innocent in
Salem justice court Monday to a
charge of drunkenness on a pub
lic ' highway.. State . pelice said
Robert A. Arlandson of Albany,
driver of the. other truck, told
them Lehr's truck did not have
any lights at the time of the col
lision, when Arlandson was at
tempting to pass another vehicle.
Lehr's - trial was set ' for May 16
and he was being held - Monday
night in Marion county jail in lieu
of $150 bail.

MILL OPEN DELAYED
Kay Woolen Mills and its 120
idle workmen will not resume
operations probably until next
week, mill officials said yester
day. Indications were last week
that the broken paper mill flurife
which halted the woolen mills
power plant April 10 would be
sufficiently repaired this week to
allow the mills to re-open.
