co-chairman of the annual Elks
club majorette contests to be held
at the Salem armory next Thurs

LOG ROLLS ON MEN
Richard Weaver, 265 McNary
st. West Salem, and Abe Brown,
1805 Market st., were taken to
Salem Deaconess hospital at about
6 o'clock last night after a log
rolled on them at the Western
Logging company at Valsetz. Hos
pital authorities said Weaver in
curred a fractured pelvis and that
Brown had incurred a fractured
leg. Their conditions were de
scribed as "good."
