Mrs. Lee Patterson of Portland, who is in
the capital during the legislative session with
her senator husband, will be the honor guest
t an informal luncheon Tuesday afternoon
when Mrs. Linn C. Smith entertains at her
Chemeketa street home. The afternoon hours
will be spent informally.
Covers will be placed for Mrs. Patterson,
Mrs. Ralph Watson and Mrs. Harvey Wells
of Portland, Mrs. James W. Mott, Mrs. Frank
H. Spears, sr., Mrs. Russell Catlin, Mrs. James

A Farewell Dinner
Mrs. Verden E. Hockett. who is leaving
in the near future for Panama to join Cap
tain Hockett, USN, will be the honor guest
t a farewell dinner party Tuesday night
when Mrs. Frank V. Prime, sr.. Mrs. Ralph
H. Campbell and Mrs. Harry Sehenk enter
tain at the Prime home on the Silverton road.
A group of Mrs. Hockett's intimate friends
have been bidden to the buffet dinner. Guests
will be seated at small tables and cards will
be in play during the evening.
