Jan. 25 Mrs. Nancy V. Vernon Allen. 89. died at the Dallas hospital Friday, January 24. after r long illness. She was the eldest child of Jol i and Jane Vernon, early Oregon pioneers and was born at Buell's Mill, Polk county, November 27, 1857. The family moved to the Rick reall vicinity while she was a small child and she had lived there since from that time. She was married October 31. 1876 to Isaac A. Allen, who died in 1934. Two daughters, Mabel and Inez (Mrs Ernest Nelson), preceded their mother ii death. Survivors are two daughter. Bertha Allen of Salem and Flor ence Rag-dale of Rickreall; two grandsons. Robert C.
