Upstate Agency' Coos Bay Salem - Dial 9119 Health Clinics Considered at PTA Session SWEGLE A special meeting of Swegle PTA was called by the president, Mrs. George Standley, for last Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the intermediate grade room at the schoolhouse. For several months health chairmen of the different east Sa lem school districts have wished that something definite might be done about pre-school clinics, as several of the districts have had no pre-school round-ups this year, for it is impossible for county health nurses to hold them in each district with their limited staff of nurses. By vote of the health leaders present the county health depart ment will be asked to set two definite dates, one in early April and another in early October. These clinics would not be for full schoolroom examinations, but for children not yet in school and each teacher would send any spe cial cases she may have in her classes for examination at this time. As Swegle school is central ly located and has room for the examinations without interferring with class work, it was planned to hold the clinics at Swegle school. Each representative there will present the project to the assist ing agencies in her home district, and they would be asked to ar range for the transportation of children on the two considered dates. Representing Middle Grove was Mrs. J. F. Wiikoff. Fruitland, Mrs. Standley Fagg; Rickey, Mrs. Fred Schresengost; Auburn. Mrs. Roy Krasch. and Swegle. Mrs. Clinton Kennedy.
