be closed until December 30 when
classes resume. New Year's will
be a holiday.
Rosedale The grade school
Christmas program will be pre
sented Monday, December 23, at
8 p. m. Plajrs will be presented by
pupils of each of the two class
rooms. Sunday school program
will be given Sunday morning
when Leora Strong, director of
religious education, will discuss
offering for foreign relief. Young
people will present a Christmas
program at 7:30 p. m. Sunday.
Amity Tom Martin of Amity
Lumber Co. has purchased Mrs.
Emma Durant residence property
on West Fifth st. It was original
ly acquired in 1885 by P. P. Du
rant and he and Emma Newby
were married there November 25,
1885. Mrs. Durant has cpntinued
to live there since her husband's
death until now when at the age
of 80 years she has lost her sight
and i spending the winter with
a daughter, Mr. W. E. Beck in
Klamath Fall.

be given Monday, December 23,
by the American Legion post
and auxiliary at Vickers hall at
7:30 p. m. It 1 for Detroit and
