COUNTY ROCK SITES SET
Sites for rock crushing and
stockpiles were selected by county
commissioners Ed Rogers and Roy
Rice on a recent inspection tour
of the Niagara-Detroit road. These
potential sites, are. on property
owned by the Hammond Lumber
Co.. the state fish commission, and
the forestry departemnt. The

Over 500 students are, enrolled
in the adult education classes
which are being held twice a
week at the Salem senior high
school, according to George Por
ter, director of adult education.
The present 10-weeks series is in
the sixth week, he said yester
day. The classes are interested
in suggestions for courses for the
next 10-week series scheduled to
begin after Christmas.

Salem council .Knights of Co
lumbus, in meeting Tuesday night,
laid plans for a December 1 initia
tion program and voted to meet
in special meeting next Tuesday
evening. The committee chairmen
in charge of the initiation, to be
held at St. Joseph's parish hall,
were appointed by Grand Knight
