The People's Market, on the site of the present Montgomery Ward store, he sold in 1918 to Curtis Cross, and Thomason entered the real estate business in which he engaged the remainder of his life. He was associated with Route in and Adolph at the time of his death. Greatly interested in agri culture and In Its future here, he farmed as a sideline during most of his residence in Salem.
