Fat PUDeal Fees
Attract Promoters
like Bees to Honey
Promoters and politicians are asking you
to vote for the PUD measure on the ballot
November 5. Why are they so anxious?
Here's the reason : a
One promoter already has collected over
a million dollars in bond fees from PUDeals
FEES
in Nebraska, and now is after his second
tnillion from similar deals in the State of
Washington. Apparently PUD promoters
now think Oregon is Iripe for picking.
This same promoter blandly admitted to
an investigating 'committee in the federal
congress that the PUDeal is a "big gamble.
The trouble is, it's a gamble with the risks
all on the public's side a gamble in which
PUD promoters and politicians seek to en
rich themselves from! the public tax-trough.
The electric consumer arfd the taxpayer, of
course, pay through the nose.
THE CARDS ARE STACKED
Examine the "five cards' below which the PUDeal promoters are trying to slip the
public from the bottom of the deck. And remember, in this sorfof game, you can't draw
new cards for ONCE YOU'RE IN A PUD YOU CAN'T GET OUT!
f. Cra ml m Maw raua-Xevyfcf sWy. The PUD
sets up a new tax-U vying agency with powers to
assess new taxes without your further vote.

Promoters are In
gravy when they get the public to bite on
their PUD schemes. In the State of Washington
PUDS have milked $2,552,809 of taxtt from
the suffering public.
