Earl Snell's special forestry committee, with the ex ception of those requiring legisla tion, are already being put into operation or are well under way, the governor declared Friday. Snell said that with the excep tion of the recommended crea tion of a department of conserv a tion and a corporation to raise $25,000,000 in forestry bond, neither of which were recom mended unanimously, the forestry board and slate forenter have ieeti working on suggestions contained in the leport. In line with the recommenda tion for fire protection of the Tillamook hum area, CJfM . Snell reported that the forestry depart ment has planned effective meas ures of protecting the burn.
