church were Miss Emma Halter,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Got
tfried Halter of Wood burn and Ed
ward Baumin of Sheridan, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bauman of
Woodburn. The Rev. V. L. Mof
fenbeier officiated at the nuptial
high mass and Misses Virginia,
Donna and Patricia Murphy sang
with Mrs. E. S. Donnelly at the
organ.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore white satin 5ro
cade. designed princess style, with
sweetheart neckline and long
train. Her full lingth veil fell from
a headdress of the same material.

ried a white prayer book topped
with carnations and roses.
Attendants were her two sisters.
Miss Rosemary Halter as maid of
honor and Miss Rita Halter as
bridesmaid. Attending the bride
groom were his two brothers,
Clyde Bauman and Steve Bauman,
jr., who also acted as ushers.
A wedding breakfast was served
at the Lurel cafe. A reception
was held at St. Lake's haTl at 2
p m. to which 150 were invited.
Mrs. George Grimps cut the
bride's cake. Assisting were Mrs.
Steve Bauman. Miss Virginia Mur
phy, Mrs. LaVerne Otjen. Mrs.
Al Halter and Mrs. Robert Renn,
Miss Karien Benson and Miss
Gwen Shorn me r.
Mr. and Mrs. Bauman left for
British Columbia and on their re
turn will live in Sheridan. For
traveling Mrs. Bauman wore a
blue tailleur with white accessor
ies and corsage of rosebuds and
carnations.

June 6 at a double-ring ceremony
in Ridgefield. Wash. The Rev.
James M Bennett read the rites.
Mrs. Clarence Bothmiller was
soloist and Mrs. Van Bukirk was
organist.
Given in marriage by her fath
er, the bride wore a gown of
white net over crepe with long
veil held by a coronet of orange
blossoms. She carried red roses.
Miss Isabel Herbert was maid
of honor and Mrs. Ruth Taylor
and Miss Nita Worthington were
bridesmaids. Edward Taylor was
best man and Forrest Bothmiller
and Jerry Bothmiller were ush
ers Both mothers wore aqua and
corsages of gardenias.
At the reception Mrs. Everett
Herbert and Mrs. Harry Harrold
cut the cakes. The bride wore a
lime-colored suit with black ac
cessories and gardenias and red
roaes. They will live in Vancou
ver while he is employed as resi
dent engineer by the US engi
neers in Portland. He is a gradu
ate of Ridgefield schools and saw
two years of overseas aervice.

Marion county 4-H club dele
gation of 108 returned to Salem
Friday after close of the summer
session at Oregon State college,
Thursday.
Winners in the various judging
contests were reported by J. F.
Bishop, club agent, as follows:
home economics clothing judging,
Karleen Drager. Cloverdale; Do
ris Hayworth, Talbot, and June
Rahtz, Auburn, tied for third
place.
Crop judging. Harold Watts,"
Central Howell.-" and Wayne
Johnson. Sidney, tied for fourth
place. Poultry, Kirby Gates, Mill
City, second place.
Weight guessing. Vern Wertz of
Buttevill'e, was first with a guess
of within four pounds of the
weight of an Angus bull; John Ed
gar of Salem Heights was first for
.sheep, guessing within a pound
of the true weight.
Boys unable to attend summer
school this year because of the re
stricted housing accommodations,
will have an opportunity to make
a Willamette valley livestock tour
of the Oregon State college cam
pus, August 5 and 6. Boys from
Marion, Polk, Linn, Lane, Benton
and Yamhill counties will be in
cluded in those making the tour.
Marion county's fall 4-H club
show will be held Thursday and
Friday, August 29 and 30, at the
state fairgrounds. Club animals
picked for state showing will then
remain at the state fairgrounds
for the opening of the state fair,
Monday, September 2. Besides
stock farm crops and canning ex
hibits will be displayed at the
fall show. Linn county's 4-H fall
show will be held August 28. 29
and 30, at Bryant park, Albany.
