PORTLAND. Ore.. June 13-;P)
Secretary of the Interior J. A.
Krug told a press conference to
day he hoped the Bonneville ad
ministration would find 'effect
ive means' to utilize vast Colum
bia river power resources in
peacetime economy.
Ai director of the war produc
tion board, he said, he saw the
industrial development for which
electrical power was responsible
in this area. "Eminent progress
has been made in retaining and
increasing it," he said. Here on
a western tour, he inspected Bon
neville dam and the world's larg
est electrical sub-station, near
Vancouver, Wash.
"Klectric power is the life blood
of the economy of the country
particularly low coat power as
you have here in the west," Krug
declared.
He said he hoped to "greatly
improve" the integration of the
loosely coordinated interior department.

HAY FEVER
Your physic rarl will tell you that hay
fever is an allergic condition of the mu
cous membrane of thv nose, the con
junctiva, and the u iTp t respiratory
tract. It is usually dtie to the inhala
tion of pollens, but may e caused by
emanations of other substances and by
certain foods. !
Hypersensitiveness to the pollens of grasses, shrubs, trees and
various other plants represent a common cause f hay fever.
One type of sensitization occurs from April to Juite and is us
ually due to the pollens of grasses. Another typie. which oc
curs from August to October, is usually caused by the pollens
of ragweed and related species.
Your physician will be pleased to discuss with you the pre-e-nsonal.
perennial and co-seasonal treatment of hay fever.
Let us compound your hay fever prescriptions..
