Ensign Acton is a graduate of

vice in 1943. Ensign Acton re
ceived his commission at Fort
Schuyler, New York in July. He
has been home on lettve and is
now at Gulfport, Mississippi.

of Miss Jacqueline Judft and Lt
Staryl a Austin, United States
army air corps. Lt Austin, who
arrived in Norfolk, Va, Wed
nesday from the European thea
tre of war. celled his fiancee that
evening. He is expected to r-
rive in JSalem the first of next
week.- The couple's engagement
was , announced a year ago last
spring.
! Miss Judd is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Judd and
her fiancee Is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Staryl C. Austin, an of Sa
lem. The afternoon wedding will
take place at the First Christian
church with Rev. Jesse Johnson

' Miss Judd is a graduate of
Salem high school and Willam
ette university. Lt Austin is also

has been overseas a year as
pilot of a P-47 Thunderbolt Lt.
