Miss Roop is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Roop of Sil
verton. Mr. Ford, the i son of
Mr. and Mrs. C F. Ford, Sr,
of MUwaukie, attended Willamette-
for a term before entering
the navy In 1942. He saw ten
months of overseas duty before
coming to Willamette under the
V-12. program. j

at a double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burnhanv
1895 Lee street Salem. She at
tended the University of Cali
fornia and was employed in San
Francisco before entering the
WAC in April, l4S. Since her
arrival overseas last December
she ' has been service in New
Guinea, Leyte and Manila. The
groom, son of Mrs. Andrew Bay
er of Trenton, New Jersey, is a
former student : at Dartmouth
college.- - ' . i -
Father Sullivan ! of the army
corps of chaplains performed the
ceremony, while sunlight filter
ed through the pale blue windows
at the rear of the candle-lighted
altar. Miss Burnham was dress
ed in the beige off-duty dress of
the corps, and carried white or
chids. Her bridesmaid, Agnes L
Bard of Buffalo, New York, wore
a tropical worsted uniform. Best
man was Sgt Robinson, also of
the fifth air force.
v Following the ceremony an in
formal reception was held at the
home of friends in the San Juan
heights section1 of Manila, after
which the couple left for a brief
honeymoon before returning to
their respective army jobs.
